Selecting a Patient

Click on the Patient button on the toolbar. This brings up a small window with a list of fictitious patients. Select one patient from the list and click the button with the icon. This will load the patient in Protean and the patient will be bound with the guideline that will be loaded when the guideline is executed. The loaded patient’s name and id are shown on the title bar and on the toolbar.

Please note that this step is not really essential as the current version of Protean does not save the values created.  This step is described to allow you to get an idea of running a Proteus guideline for an individual patient.
